Beaches

ABOUT

A sign labelled Octopus Beach’ at the entrance of Paleloni village guides us towards a narrow road that leads to Ombros Gialos (also known as Ombrogialos) Beach. Ombros Gialos Beach is a distinct sandy beach adorned with pebbles, and the entrance to the sea is facilitated by a concrete platform. Its clear and turquoise waters offer a captivating swimming experience, making it one of the finest beaches in the northern region of the island.

The presence of a taverna nearby provides convenient dining options. This beach is highly recommended for snorkelling enthusiasts, while diving enthusiasts will find this location particularly appealing.

It is worth mentioning that the beach of Ombros Gialos will soon undergo a transformation and become the first diving park in Greece. This exciting development has been officially recognised and approved through its licensing and designated location in the Government Gazette.
