Folklore Museum of Kefalás
ABOUT
In the historic village of Kefalás, in the Municipality of Apokoronas, you have the opportunity to learn how the locals used to live in earlier times.
The village’s small folklore museum is housed in a stone-built building.
The museum’s collection is quite rich and comes from donations made by local residents. Among the exhibits are an old loom, colourful woven textiles, storage jars of various sizes, household utensils, farming tools, old photographs, and furniture from the last two centuries.
In the square just outside the museum stands the bust of Mathios Mylonogiannis, a revolutionary from Kefalás who fought during the period 1858–1897.
