Fountain in Houdetsi
ABOUT
Houdetsi is a picturesque village in the Municipality of Archanes-Asterousia, known for its strong musical tradition.
As the municipality notes, the village fountain, dating back to 1671, is of significant archaeological interest. It's called Hatzines, which in Turkish means "water reservoir".
Once upon a time, this fountain was the heart of the village. There were even troughs and washhouses here—though these were sadly torn down during the 1980s.
