Agies Paraskeies: The Village of the "Local Winemaking Competition"

In the heart of Agies Paraskeies, a statue by the sculptor Parmakelis graces the village square, surrounded by charming cafés inviting visitors to relax. The entire vineyard zone of Peza stretches out from this picturesque village, rich in wine heritage.

Legends of fairies and dark creatures have been passed down through generations, adding a mystical aura to the area. The village's name hints at its significance, with five churches once dedicated to Agia Paraskevi, although today only ruins remain.

A stroll along the old stone cobblestones at Jagari Kalami, located at the foot of the village hill, is a must-see. Each November, the region hosts the local winemaking competition, a unique and integral part of the "Wine Roads" experience.
