Εγκαινιάστηκε η έκθεση που πραγματοποιείται στην Πινακοθήκη της Βιάννου στον Κερατόκαμπο, με θέμα: «Αφιέρωμα στο Ολοκαύτωμα της Βιάννου», παρευρέθηκε ο Δήμαρχος κ. Παύλος Μπαριτάκης.

Πρόκειται για μια έκθεση που εντάσσεται στο πλαίσιο των εκδηλώσεων μνήμης για τα 82 χρόνια από το Ολοκαύτωμα της Βιάννου, πραγματοποιείται σε συνεργασία με τον Πολιτιστικό σύλλογο Άνω Βιάννου, τον Εκπολιτιστικό και εξωραϊστικό σύλλογο Κερατοκάμπου και Καψαλών “Η Βίγλα”, την Ένωση θυμάτων ολοκαυτώματος της Βιάννου και με την υποστήριξη της Περιφέρειας Κρήτης και του Δήμου Βιάννου.

On the occasion of the opening—which will run until October 30—the Mayor of Viannos, Mr. Pavlos Baritakis, made the following statement:

“They say a picture is worth a thousand words. And when it comes to the exhibition 'A Tribute to the Viannos Holocaust', on display at the Viannos Gallery in partnership with local organisations and artists, we’re talking about a true cultural treasure.

This is a meaningful tribute to the memory of the victims of September 1943, a time when Viannos came face-to-face with the brutal reality of war.
Through the creations of numerous talented artists, the pain and sacrifice of our ancestors is vividly portrayed. At the same time, their works breathe life into the truth, proving that art is a guiding light for future generations.

This exhibition stands as a ‘living’ testimony, a reminder that it is up to us to keep historical memory and our collective identity alive.
I extend my sincere thanks to the organisers, the participating artists, and to all those who support this initiative. I hope the exhibition moves and inspires every visitor.”
