Carlina Sitiensis
Where can it be found?
Carlina sitiensis (Carlina of Sitia) has a somewhat restricted range, commonly found in limestone rocks on the Cape Sidero peninsula, the Zakros region, and the southern shores of the Geopark. This perennial herbaceous plant is characterised by thorny features, and its flowers take the form of a large yellow disc.
