Chania Cultural Centre
ABOUT
The Cultural Centre of Chania, an impressive modern building, sits at 70 Papandreou Andrea Street, in the heart of the city.
It was established in 1957 with funds from the Reserve Warriors Fund of the Chania Prefecture.
Construction commenced in 1991 and reached completion in December 2004, marking the beginning of its operational phase.
The venue hosts scientific symposia, meetings, workshops and art workshops.
Indeed, it was in 2011 that the Region of Crete took the lead in organising events by committing to cover operational expenses.
The Cultural Centre of Chania also serves as a venue for theatrical performances, music and dance shows, painting and photography exhibitions, thematic lecture series, and immersive workshops.
