Pitsidia is a charming village that European citizens flock to, whether it's for the summer or all year round. They're drawn to the area's sunshine and light, love taking dips in pristine waters, go for hikes, and in the evenings, you'll find them enjoying a beer or raki at one of the village's hangouts, indulging in tasty dishes or catching a live show in the square.

European citizens residing in Pitsidia are deeply woven into the welcoming local community. Year after year, the village undergoes a transformation, both within its boundaries and in the surrounding areas. There's substantial development geared towards tourism, with efforts to blend harmoniously with the natural landscape of the region. Additionally, old or abandoned houses within the village are being brought back to life.

There's a wide variety of accommodation options in the area, from charming and clean guesthouses offering generous breakfasts to luxurious villas with stunning views of the endless blue of Kommos and the Paximadia islets, iconic landmarks in the Messara Bay.

While wandering through Pitsidia, be sure to meet the always welcoming and cheerful Yva, known for her beautifully embroidered earrings. You'll find the Re.Ga.Lo Art shop, showcasing handmade jewellery, nestled in a charming 1800s building.

For a delightful coffee and some nibbles, we recommend Kantifes, a charming spot that never fails to impress visitors.

Kommos Beach is the finest in the area, as long as you catch good weather since it's open and expansive, hence more susceptible to the winds.

But when the wind dies down, it's truly breath-taking. Swimming in the azure waters beside the tamarisk trees and the ancient ruins of Kommos, where the waves lap gently, is an unforgettable experience. You'll have a view of the Paximadia islets and the Libyan Sea, while in the distance, Mt Psiloritis rises, sometimes capped with snow. And all this under the watchful gaze of St Panteleimon, blessing from above.
