According to Forbes, the best beach in the world is located in Crete and is named Kommos.

Kommos Beach can be described as a vast beach, divided into two distinct sections. The northern part, known as Potamos Beach, is particularly favoured by nudists and is one of the largest beaches they choose as their destination. In contrast, the southern part of the beach is well-equipped, featuring amenities such as parasols, sunbeds, showers, and a lifeguard.

Both sections of Kommos Beach boast sandy shores, crystal clear waters, and large, smooth rocks in the sea. However, like many beaches in the area, Kommos is susceptible to strong westerly winds, leading to the formation of substantial waves.

Kommos Beach is a preferred nesting site for the Caretta caretta sea turtles during the summer months.
