Twinned Watermills of Spili
ABOUT
Spili is renowned for its watermills.
According to information from the Municipality of Agios Vasilios of Agios Vasilios, the mills of Spili trace their origins back to the Venetian era, predating the Turkish occupation. In 1929, there were seven watermills in operation. Today, only two remain preserved, located near the village's primary school.
The two mills are connected by a beautiful vaulted ceiling.
