Chapel of Saint Paisios, Damnoni
ABOUT
On a hill in South Rethymno, overlooking the stunning beaches of Damnoni and the surrounding area, stands the chapel of Saint Paisios.
It was built by the Mastrantonakis family from the village of Lefkogeia, in the Agios Vasileios region of Rethymno.
This is a small chapel with carved wooden icons, full of spiritual charm.
What makes it special is that it’s always open to the faithful. There’s no donation box, but you’ll always find a fridge stocked with water and juices, there for visitors and pilgrims to refresh themselves.
