The Church of Afentis Christos in Kastelli: A Venetian Era Gem

Archangel Michael serves as the guardian of the church! He is depicted in a fresco adorned in military attire, wielding a sword.

The Church of Afentis Christos is situated adjacent to the Kastelli Town Hall building, nestled between the old and the new high schools of the area.

On its western façade, you'll find a distinctive double-stepped brick doorway, typical of the Venetian period. Additionally, five glazed panels featuring a cross arrangement have been incorporated into the pediment. Inside, there are fragments of 14^th-century frescoes, albeit in a somewhat incomplete state.
