Kamisiana: a village that… changes its name!

The village of Kamisiana, in the Municipality of Platanias, once changed its name and was known as Elaionas. Eventually, it returned to its original name.
Nevertheless, the area produces olive oil!
Here, visitors can experience the authentic life of Crete, among farmers and livestock breeders.
The main church of the village is the Annunciation of the Theotokos.
