Agia Irini Church in Mourne
ABOUT
There are many churches to explore in the village of Mourne within the municipality of Agios Vasilios.
Among them is Agia Irini Church, featuring two aisles, with frescoes preserved exclusively in the north aisle.
Ioannis Spatharakis places their origin in the early 14th century. Inside Agia Irini Church, there are preserved frescoes which show hierarchs, including St. Vlasios, depicted frontally in the sanctuary.
