On Sunday, May 11, 2025, the Municipality of Platanias, in collaboration with the Cycling Club of Chania TALOS–ANEK Lines and under the approval of the Hellenic Cycling Federation, will host the “Spring Cycling Tour – MINOA PALACE” in the communities of Vouves and Glossa.

This regional road cycling race celebrates both the athletic spirit and the unique character of Western Crete. The event highlights the area's natural beauty, local traditions, and warm hospitality.

Starting from historic locations and charming villages, the race route offers stunning views and a close-up experience of the Cretan landscape. It’s a perfect opportunity for athletes, spectators, and visitors to connect with nature while enjoying a high-level sporting event.

Race Day Schedule

Sunday, May 11, 2025 – Vouves, Platanias
Event: Road Endurance Race
Start Time: 10:30 AM (first categories)
Participants: Cyclists from clubs across Greece
Route: A demanding 16.2 km loop (Vouves – Glossa – Mothiana – Drakona – Vouves), with several laps depending on category

The full programme includes Men, Women, Juniors, Youth Boys and Girls, Masters, as well as younger categories such as Mini and Super Mini. Each category will have its own award ceremony on race day.
