On Sunday, 2 November 2025, the Agios Nikolaos Mountaineering Club will walk a beautiful 8-kilometre circular route in the area of Kera, Lasithi. According to the announcement:

"We will start from Ano Kera and descend towards the village of Gonies through the lush Embasa Gorge. At the exit, we will wander around the welcoming village of Gonies and then ascend through the hiking section of the Roza Gorge. The view at the gorge's exit will be well worth the effort."

WHAT TO BRING: Daypack, 1 litre of water, snack/lunch, hat, sunglasses, second T-shirt, windbreaker, trekking poles (optional)

DEPARTURE: From Agios Nikolaos (K. Karamanli 23, at Vasilopoulos S/M) on Sunday morning at 08:00. Transport by private car – please contribute €10 to the driver.

HIKE DURATION: 3 hours (excluding necessary stops)
ELEVATION GAIN: approx. 450 m
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: 1
