Patsos: Discover the Authentic Charm of Crete

Situated at an elevation of 450 metres, Patsos is among the most picturesque villages in Amari, nestled at the base of Mt Soros. Within the village lie the remnants of a grand church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, dating back to 1357 AD. Legend has it that this church boasted an impressive 101 doors and windows, one of which remained unseen.

Patsos is bordered by the lush Patsos Gorge, leading to the majestic Potami Dam.

On 8^th September, locals celebrate the feast of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, adding to the village's cultural richness and charm.
