Cities & Villages

ABOUT

Tucked into lush vegetation, Kato Poros is perched at an elevation of over 250 metres. Today, the number of permanent residents barely exceeds 50.

About 25 kilometres southwest of Rethymno, this quiet village offers peaceful streets and a well-known taverna that anchors the charming little square.

There are several churches in and around the village. And nearby, you can explore the abandoned hamlets of Nisi, Christochori and Artos – haunting reminders of another time.
