ABOUT

The sweet shop 'Phyllosophies' was established in 1922 by Apostolos Salkintzis, who hailed from Smyrna, Asia Minor, in Lions Square.

In 1960, the family's grandfather passed the business down to his children, and in 1999, his grandson Ioannis Salkintzis assumed control of the business.

The owner expanded and renovated the shop, renaming it from 'Lions' to 'Phyllosophies.

Remaining true to the family's history and the shop's tradition, he upheld the craft of making bougatsa phyllo pastry.
