The Mountaineering Club of Agios Nikolaos is organising a hike on Sunday, January 18, 2026, for its members and for anyone who would like to register. The route takes place in the area of the Katharo Plateau. 

According to the official announcement:
"We will start just outside the entrance to Katharo, near Avdeliako, and gradually ascend to the peak of Anefalaki. From there, we will continue to Platia Korifi and then to the summit of Kotsyros. After that, we will descend and follow the dirt road that will take us back to the starting point."

ESSENTIAL GEAR: Hiking boots, trekking poles, water, snacks, waterproof/windproof jacket
DISTANCE: approx. 14 km
DURATION: 5 hours
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: 1
ELEVATION GAIN: 480 m

DEPARTURE: Sunday morning at 8:00 from Agios Nikolaos (K. Karamanli 23, in front of AB Vasilopoulos supermarket).
Transportation by private car: Please offer €7 to the driver.
