The cove forms a protected natural harbour, where in the past, a traditional shipbuilding facility known as ‘Tersanas’ once stood, giving the area its name. Nowadays, the region has developed into a tourist destination, accommodating yachts in the cove. 

The small beach, with its serene, shallow, and azure waters, soft white sand, and shaded by tamarisk trees, is now a bustling and well-equipped spot during the summer, making it a perfect nearby destination for family excursions. Offering various amenities, the beach ensures a comfortable and enjoyable experience for visitors.
