Hike through the Agioi Pantes Gorge
ABOUT
The Gorge of Agii Pantes is relatively easy to access and is located about 7 km from Sitia. The last 3 km are on a paved road that leads to Agii Pantes Beach. Just 1.5 km further, you’ll come across Faneromeni Monastery, situated at the edge of a smaller parallel gorge to Agii Pantes.
The gorge is divided into two parts: the first section is wide and open, while the second narrows, becoming much more interesting. There are no steep inclines, making the hike easy and enjoyable. Throughout the route, trees provide shade and coolness during the summer months.
The path is clear, although if you're approaching from the seaside, there are one or two spots where you’ll need to pay extra attention. If you're coming from the other direction (starting near the village of Skopi), there are no obstacles, and the route is marked with red arrows painted on rocks.

Along the middle of the route, you'll find two springs where you can quench your thirst with their clear, cold waters and take a rest.
