Roussospasma
ABOUT
Roussospasma, also known as Rousso Skisma, is a remote and captivating cove east of Xerokambos.
What makes it special are the striking rock formations, dominated by reddish soil—the very feature that gave the beach its name.
Getting there takes a bit of effort: a 15-minute hike from Krinakia beach, or a careful approach from Katsounaki, where the path can be unstable due to loose ground and the risk of landslides.
The beach is sheltered from wind and prying eyes, perfect for those who crave peace and privacy. Access is safest through the middle of the beach—unless you opt for the more relaxed sea route.
Its natural beauty and secluded location make Roussospasma a hidden gem for nature lovers and low-key explorers in search of something authentic and quiet in Crete.
