Exploring Creta: Hiking from Sfakia to Marmara

The adventure begins in the village of Sfakia, where you first follow the paved road, passing by the peaceful beach of Iligas.

From there, the E4 trail starts, leading you through steep descents towards the beach of Glyka Nera. The descent is challenging but rewarding, with breathtaking views of the steep cliffs and the endless blue of the Mediterranean spreading out before you.

After reaching Glyka Nera, you continue along the coastline, passing through the picturesque village of Loutro. A village that can only be reached by boat or on foot, offering a peaceful stop to enjoy its beauty.

The route continues southwest along the coast, taking you deeper into the wild and untouched landscape of southern Crete, until you reach the stunning beach of Marmara.
