Near the village of Vouvés, in the area known as Nomikiana, stands the monastery of Agia Zoni, dramatically built into the side of a massive steep rock towering above it.
The icon of Agia Zoni is considered miraculous, and the church is deeply tied to local traditions and legends.
The monastery celebrates its feast day on August 31 each year.
