Koxari: Exploring a Lush Valley with a Wild and Imposing Landscape

Cities & Villages

ABOUT

Nestled in the verdant embrace of the Karkanias River valley, Koxari village sits at an altitude of 180 metres, a mere 5 kilometres from the shores of Gouves.

As you wander through fields filled with orange, olive, and other trees, you'll be surrounded by a wild and imposing landscape featuring plane trees, walnut trees, sage trees, and oak trees.

Follow the village alleys, and you'll find your way south to the Mesa Vrysi spring. Along the path, you'll come across cisterns for the orchards and an old watermill used for grinding grain.

Don't forget to visit the Church of Agios Kirikos and Ioulitta, which celebrates its feast day on 15th July.
