Holy Monastery of Panagia Faneromeni

The monastery of Panagia Faneromeni Trachila can be found on the edge of a rugged area between Cape Trahilas and Babakia.

It is built in a lush area within the small Gorge of All Saints. Inside the gorge there are many caves, where the monks of the monastery used to dwell.

Nowadays, the monastery is almost abandoned and falls under the jurisdiction of Skopi. However, on the 15^th of August, it becomes a popular destination for pilgrims who stay in the nearby settlement. This is the day when the grand procession of the Virgin Mary's icon takes place. The rest of the year, the icon is kept in the Parish Church of Agios Georgios in Skopi.
