Dafni: A Fragrant Village!

Dafni, a picturesque village in the municipality of Sitia, owes its name to the fragrant laurel plant that thrives in the area. This peaceful village, rich in water sources, is the perfect place to unwind.

Historically, Dafni was home to many Turkish families (about 60), known for their fierce nature, and followers of Ali, the adopted son of the Prophet Muhammad, as noted by the Municipality of Sitia.
