A Pleasant Journey to Kaminaki in Lassithi

In the early 16^th century, the village also boasted the Agia Paraskevi monastery, believed to be situated where the current village church stands. To the southwest of Kaminaki, there is a small rural road that leads to the picturesque Kloros valley.

Kaminaki is situated along one of the three road entrances/exits to the Plateau. This beautiful route splits into two roads, both of which lead to the village of Embaros.

To the left of the entrance to the village, you'll find the impressive new parish church of Agia Kalliopi, featuring remarkable interior decoration and a particularly modern wood-carved iconostasis.

A short distance away, you'll come across the cheese factory operated by the Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Lassithi.
