Moni Village: A Haven of Churches and Heroes!

Nestled amidst nature and abundant attractions lies the village of Moni, perched at an altitude of 242 metres.

Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by the Monument to the Fallen (1940-1944), while within the Evangelistria Church resides the Monument of Commando Nikolaos Kavrochorianos (Cyprus-1974).

Within the vicinity of the former primary school, you'll discover a showroom dedicated to the art of weaving.

Southwest of the village, at Atsonaros, archaeologists unearthed a chamber carved tomb dating back to the Minoan era atop a hill.

Moreover, at Mnimata, a carved tomb from the Late Minoan period (around 1300 BC) was unearthed.

The magnificent site of Chymeftos lies 1200 metres away from the Monastery of the Timios Stavros (Holy Cross), gracefully erected in this tranquil setting.
