The Verdant Amari and its Stately Bell Tower
Nestled at an altitude of 460 metres, Amari is nestled in a sheltered position at the base of Mt Samitos.
This traditional settlement boasts meticulously preserved houses, but its pièce de résistance is undoubtedly the majestic stone bell tower, which commands attention from the highest vantage point, once the site of a Venetian tower. Climb to the top for a breath-taking panorama of the Amari valley, a sight not to be missed!
The area is renowned for its Chondrolia and Koroneiki olives. In addition to olive cultivation, the locals are involved in livestock farming and viticulture in the vicinity of Agios Titos (St Titus).
Within the historic village, visitors can explore a folklore museum alongside a charming café.
