The fairly large settlement of Kastamonitsa is situated at the north-western foothills of Mt Afentis.

The cemetery church of the Venetian period, dedicated to the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, holds a special place in the village.

Visitors can stroll through its narrow streets, marvel at the old village houses with their tall stone walls and intricately designed windows.

Nature enthusiasts can take an excursion to the historic Mesada, an area of outstanding natural beauty that is home to the small chapel of Agios Georgios.

The church of Agios Nikolaos also holds a prominent position, and visitors can observe the remnants of a section of the Roman aqueduct from ancient Lyttos.
