The Natural Environment and Climate Change Organization (ΟΦΥΠΕΚΑ) has announced that, based on the weather forecast by the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY), Samaria Gorge will remain closed on Saturday, May 31, 2025, due to a forecast of rainfall up to 8 mm and/or thunderstorms, exceeding the safety thresholds set by the Region of Crete.

The gorge will be closed from both entrances.
