On Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 12:00 noon, the Mayor of Malevizi, Menelaos Bokeas, will inaugurate the newly completed playground at Michail Katsamanis Square in Gazi. The project was funded with €273,000 from the Rural Development Programme via the Heraklion Development Agency.

The playground has been designed with modern safety and aesthetic standards, becoming a model space for play and joy in the heart of Gazi, already attracting dozens of children and parents daily.

The highlight of the design is a striking themed ship, fully equipped with safe and innovative play structures, which has already sparked excitement and curiosity among the little ones.

After the opening ceremony, children will enjoy a festive atmosphere with surprises, interactive games, and treats, officially marking the launch of the new playground.
