Preparations are in full swing in the Municipality of Minoa Pediada for the 2026 Carnival celebrations. The municipality invites everyone to take a break from daily routines and worries and join a joyful celebration filled with fun and optimism.

It issues an open call to carnival participants, groups, associations, and friends to register for the carnivals that will take place in Arkalohori and Kastelli, helping shape a vibrant celebration full of colour, imagination and positivity – with teamwork and creativity, two qualities that have always defined Carnival in Minoa Pediada.

The main carnival dates have already been set:

• Sunday 15 February: Kastelli Carnival

• Sunday 22 February: Arkalohori Carnival
  (Start time: 15:00) 

• Clean Monday, 23 February: Koulouma celebration in Thrapsano
