The Costume Exhibition of this year’s Rethymno Carnival has opened to the public with great interest at the House of Culture, in the old town of Rethymno.
The official opening took place on the afternoon of Friday, January 30, 2026, and the costumes of the 32 participating groups will be on display and accessible to the public until Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
Ideas, originality, colors, and imagination come together to form the creativity that once again distinguishes the Rethymno Carnival groups, who invite young and old alike to “dress up in their finest” and join them in the grand parades that will mark the climax of this year’s festivities, three weeks from now.
The curation of the exhibition has been undertaken by visual artist Chrysi Skepetzi.
