The Municipality of Agios Nikolaos presents the artist Asteris Gekas and his exhibition:
"MIKIS – MANOS – MANOLIS: The Luggage of Mikis Theodorakis", hosted at the "Eirinodikeio" building, as part of the centennial celebrations honoring the three great creators.
Opening: Thursday, September 25, 2025 – Time: 19:00
The exhibition will run until October 10, and will be open to the public daily from 11:00–14:00 / 18:00–21:30.
Note:
Asteris Gekas has surpassed fifty years of artistic creation, splitting his life between his studios in Paris and Volos, and has exhibited in major capital cities as well as throughout Greece (festivals).
In Lasithi, the artist has held exhibitions in Sitia, at the “Vitsentzos Kornaros Cultural Centre”, and in Ierapetra, with a tribute to the poet M. Prattikakis.
He has a close connection to Lasithi, having worked there as a teacher from 1977 to 1980, and since then has maintained relationships with former students and friends.
