Archaeological Site of Agia Triada
ABOUT
The “Small Minoan Palace” of Agia Triada, as it was named by the Italian archaeologists, is located on the banks of the Geropotamos River, near Phaistos.
Dating back to 1600 BC, the building complex of Agia Triada stands out for its elegance and impressive decoration. It consists of two wings forming an irregular L-shaped layout.
It’s worth admiring up close the remarkable finds from the Agia Triada villa, which are exhibited at the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion.
