Agios Georgios Sarantaris - Agios Nikolaos is a two-aisled church, with both aisles connected by an arched opening. According to the Municipality, the church is constructed from stone, with its western section carved into the rock.
The islet and tradition
Opposite Anissaras lies an islet, where remnants of the church have been discovered. Legend has it that worshippers used to journey to the church on their knees, following the ridge visible in the sea.
To access it, you need to walk across a paved road within the hotel situated there.
