A vibrant cultural mosaic will unfold in the heart of Rethymno, inviting locals and visitors alike to join a unique celebration on Friday, September 12, 2025. The event is organised by the Department of Cultural Mediation of the Community Centre of the Municipality of Rethymno.
Set in the welcoming surroundings of the Municipal Garden of Rethymno, “Tastes and Sounds from Other Homelands” promises a joyful evening of cross-cultural exchange, open to all.
Expect traditional dances from different homelands, music that bridges human connections, and flavours that showcase the culinary heritage of diverse cultures. It’s an invitation to experience the unifying power of diversity through the universal languages of rhythm and taste.
The Social Service and the Department of Cultural Mediation of the Community Centre, together with Deputy Mayor for Social Policy, Dr. Anna Eleftheriadou-Gika, warmly invite everyone — citizens and visitors — to take part in this vibrant celebration of Rethymno’s multicultural identity.
