Celebrations for St Nicholas take place on December 5th and 6th, 2025, in Nea Alikarnassos.

21:00 | Supplication to St Nicholas
🔹 Saturday, December 6
07:00 | Orthros and Festive Divine Liturgy
Officiated by: His Eminence Archbishop of Crete, Eugenios
10:15 | Procession of the Holy Relic and Icon
Route: Herodotou Avenue
Followed by Blessing of the Sea and a Reception for Local Authorities at the church hall
17:00 | Concluding Festive Vespers
🔸 Throughout the services, a relic of St Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra in Lycia and Wonderworker, will be available for veneration.
🙏 The celebration honours St Nicholas, protector of the Hellenic Coast Guard, sailors, and patron saint of Nea Alikarnassos, the historic seat of the Municipality of Heraklion. Local authorities and the faithful are warmly invited to attend.
