Dromoi Zois are organising an excursion to Kollita Gorges – Kato Poros on Sunday, 15 March 2026.

In their invitation they state:

“However many times we have crossed them, the one word that describes them perfectly is… MAGIC!!!

We choose this season because the gorges are at their very best.

It is an impressive route through a fairy-tale landscape in the inland area of Rethymno Prefecture, with lush greenery, striking geological formations, flowing water, two gorges, carved Roman tombs and plane trees sculpted by the water.

There is also the option of crossing one or both gorges, meaning there is both an easier and a more demanding route — so no one is left out!!

Bring a plate and fork — you will need them during the hike.

Hiking duration: 02:30 or 04:30 hours — Difficulty level: 1.

Our excursions take place in non-urban environments, therefore appropriate equipment for the terrain and season is required.

Please note: membership payments must be completed by Friday afternoon, while seat cancellations can be made until Saturday at 13:00.

In case of absence, the registered member is obliged to pay the participation fee.
