Just a few months before its trial operation, Heraklion International Airport at Kasteli is radically changing the map of air travel in Crete. With construction work now more than 65% complete and key infrastructure, including the runway and apron and the 93,000 sq.m. Terminal, taking its final shape, the project is entering its most crucial phase.

Discovercrete toured TERNA S.A.’s vast construction site, capturing from above, as well as from inside its modern, international-standard facilities, the progress of a project that is changing Crete: the construction of one of the most modern airports in the Mediterranean.
