For the first time, the Cultural Association of Kontomari opens the doors of its hall to host an exhibition titled “Art Encounter.”

The show invites visitors on a journey through diverse artistic techniques—Iconography, Marquetry, and Painting—from the depths of the sea to the heights of the sky. It explores a transition from the earthly to the spiritual, creating a sense of uplift and introspection.

The exhibition is free to the public and can be visited during every event hosted by the Association, from 17 August to 17 September 2025.

It unfolds in three thematic sections:

• The Hidden Face of the Sea

• Where There’s Earth, There’s Life

• Sky: Matter and Spirituality

A few words about the marquetry on display:
These are wood veneer artworks, composed of fine layers of wood in various tones. Each piece is assembled like a puzzle, where every “tile” is cut and glued into place to form the final image.
