A flower exhibition featuring local nurseries is being prepared at Georgiadis Park by the volunteers of the Municipal Group “Right to the City”.

The exhibition will run from 3 to 8 June 2026, with free admission for the public, as part of the 3rd competition “I Make My City Bloom”, organised by the Environment and Quality of Life Team “Right to the City – Volunteers”. The initiative invites the residents of Heraklion to actively contribute to the creation of a greener and more sustainable city.

It is worth noting that applications for participation in the competition are open until 31 May 2026, by sending photographs or videos of each “green” space to the email address anthizotinpolimou@gmail.com.

The participation categories are:

• Balcony – Rooftop
• Garden – Courtyard
• Building Facade
• Collective Actions (schools, associations, clubs, groups, etc.)

The results of the competition will be announced on 5 June 2026, on World Environment Day, during a special event featuring activities and workshops, environmental talks, music and a festive atmosphere.

Participants will compete for gifts including overnight stays at selected hotels, home and garden gifts, as well as products and special offers from nurseries and partner businesses.
