The Municipality of Chania is organising, for the fourth consecutive year, the Alternative Tourism & Experiences Festival “260KMemories Festival”, taking place from 8-10 May 2026 at Katehaki Square, in the Venetian Harbour of Chania, from 18:00 to 23:00.

The aim of the Festival is to highlight the dynamic initiatives carried out by organisations and private individuals across Crete throughout the year, offering both visitors and locals a wide range of experiences and alternative activities.

This year, more than sixty professionals, organisations and groups will participate, while there will also be a special thematic section dedicated to Cretan gastronomy. At the “Cretan Gastronomy Zone”, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy free Cretan flavours spanning from the Minoan Era to the present day.

The Festival programme includes:

  • Exhibition of alternative tourism products & services
  • On-stage gastronomy events & workshops for adults and children
  • Wine and gastronomy competitions
  • Tastings of traditional and contemporary Cretan cuisine
