The heart of Cretan tradition beats once again in Kissamos! From Sunday, 16 August to Monday, 24 August 2026, the “Kissamos – Festival of Flavours and Art” makes a dynamic return, refreshed and ready for its 17th consecutive year.

The festival officially opens its doors on Sunday, 16 August. The sparkling opening ceremony will mark the start of nine days of events, welcoming the first visitors with a traditional Cretan welcome and music.

This established celebration of western Crete will take place on the seafront road, west of the Kissamos Municipal Stadium, and will be open daily from 18:30 to 23:30. As every year, admission is free.

Alongside the exhibition, visitors can enjoy a rich daily programme of cultural events, traditional dances and live concerts.
