Unforgettable Excitement in Paranymfi Village

Cities & Villages

ABOUT

If you're in Paranymfi Village, don't miss the opportunity to visit Abbas Hill for panoramic views of the area.

While the village has a small population, its cafés are renowned.

Paranymfi serves as a starting point for numerous excursions in the area.

Abbas is also home to an ancient watermill. The surrounding area is suitable for canyoning activities, but it requires experience and careful attention.

In Tris Ekklisies, you can find bearded vultures and Griffon vultures. To avoid scaring them away, it's advisable not to wear brightly coloured clothing.

Visiting the small gorge that connects Paranymfi with the neighbouring village of Platanias is also worth your time.

The church of Agios Pavlos, which was once a monastery, is a testament to why Asterousia is often referred to as the ‘Mt Athos of Crete’.

From this location, a path leads to the only carob forest in Crete.
