Agia Mylopotamou, a Traditional Settlement
ABOUT
Agia is a multi-awarded village for its cleanliness and nobility.
Here you will find traditional woven textiles, and you’ll have the chance to discover the charcoal-making process at the dozens of charcoal kilns.
It is located on hilly terrain, on the southeastern foothills of Mount Kouloukonas, near the main provincial road connecting Perama with Anogeia, and on the right (northern) bank of the Geropotamos River, at an average elevation of 180 metres.
Look for the olive press owned by the Chonianakis family, which has been declared a preserved monument.
It is also worth discovering the Church of Saint Anastasia the Pharmakolytria, which was renovated in 1878, without frescoes, and featuring a wood-carved iconostasis.
