One of the most iconic peaks of the region will be visited by the Mountaineering Club of Agios Nikolaos together with the Nature-Lovers Mountaineering Club of Sitia on Sunday, 12 October 2025. The hike will take them to Kliros summit, at 1,300 metres, with stunning views of the surrounding area.

“The route will start from the village of Oreino, which we’ll reach using our own vehicles via the southern road axis, through Ierapetra. After the hike, those who wish can stay for a meal at the village café in Oreino,” say the organisers.

Departure: from Agios Nikolaos (K. Karamanli 23, at Vasilopoulos supermarket) on Sunday morning at 7:30. Transport to the area will be by private car. Please give €10 to your driver.
